BALANCED SIMPLICITY

This Japanese-inspired garden designed by Kate Whitelock is therapeutic in its simplicity and required careful and considered construction on our part.

The sound of running water, the breeze through the Maple leaves, and a beautiful play of light across the day add a calming effect to this space. Autumn sees the Maples break out in brilliant colour, heightened by the white walls that frame them.

Texture is layered throughout the garden from the ground cover, to pebbles and stepping stones, tree foliage, and rusted metal screens.

Simplicity and balance of design in this courtyard garden permeates the whole house. This project was a pleasure to work on.
